The Book of Reuben is a testament of faith, wisdom, and divine encounters as revealed to Apostle Reuben Habaasa. Rooted in scripture and personal experiences, this book seeks to guide believers into a deeper understanding of God’s truth, righteousness, and the purpose of salvation.
Through this book, Apostle Reuben shares powerful testimonies, spiritual teachings, and prophetic insights that reveal the true nature of God and His plan for humanity. One of the key messages emphasized is the true meaning of being a Son of God—not in a biological sense, as misunderstood by many, but as a representation of righteousness, holiness, and alignment with God’s will.
Apostle Reuben explains that just as Jesus was called the Son of God because of His divine righteousness, all who follow God in truth and obedience are also His sons and daughters. This powerful revelation dispels common misconceptions and brings clarity to the true identity of believers in Christ.
With a focus on spiritual growth, prayer, and the principles of true faith, The Book of Reuben serves as a guiding light for those seeking a closer walk with God. It is a call to salvation, obedience, and the pursuit of divine purpose.

One bright afternoon, Apostle Reuben Habaasa, with a Bible in one hand and his voice full of conviction, began to share a story of the true meaning of the term “Son of God”.
“Many people, especially our Muslim brothers and sisters, misunderstand what the term ‘Son of God’ truly means. They believe we Christians claim that God gave birth to Jesus, but this is not what the Bible teaches. Let me explain it to you with a story—a story of righteousness, faith, and identity.“- he said.
“When the Scriptures refer to Jesus as the ‘Son of God,’ it does not mean God physically gave birth to Him. Rather, it means that Jesus reflects the righteousness, character, and nature of God Himself. He lived a life free of sin, perfectly aligned with the will of God. This is why He is called the Son of God—because He embodies God’s holiness and truth.
And here’s something even more beautiful: when we choose to live righteously, obeying God’s Word and reflecting His character in our lives, we too become ‘sons’ and ‘daughters’ of God. It’s not about biology; it’s about living in a way that pleases Him.“- he added.
I, Reuben Habaasa, am also a son of God—not because God gave birth to me, but because I have chosen to follow His ways and live according to His truth. The same is true for all of you who strive to live righteously.
So, when someone asks you about the ‘Son of God,’ remember this: it’s not about being born of God in a physical sense. It’s about being like God in character, righteousness, and truth. And that is something every believer can achieve.”
Prayer is the sacred medium of communication with God, the Creator. The LORD GOD desires that you pray and talk to Him. Through prayer, you strengthen your relationship with Him by sharing your thoughts, concerns, and feelings. The Creator is near to all who call upon Him in truth and sincerity.
God, the Almighty, longs to be close to you and to hear your prayers. However, He will only listen if you approach Him in a manner that honors Him. When you pray, you must do so with humility, respect, and a repentant heart. Be cautious, for actions or attitudes contrary to His will can distance you from Him and cause Him to disregard your prayers. Remember, faith is essential in prayer: “Without faith, it is impossible to please God. For whoever approaches God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”
Here is an important commandment: pray ONLY to the LORD GOD, the Creator, through Jesus Christ. You must approach God as His child, using the name that saves and protects you—the name of Jesus Christ, which you received when you became born again. Why? Because God is Spirit, and He dwells among us!
When you neglect to communicate with God, you cannot please Him. Prayer is your lifeline to the Creator, JEHOVAH. Unlike humans, God does not pray. Even Jesus of Nazareth, during His time on earth, prayed and taught His disciples how and to whom they should pray. Jesus no longer prays for you; His time for prayer ended on earth. Instead, He instructs you to pray directly to His Father.
Religious traditions have built their practices on praying to Jesus, which Jesus Himself did not endorse. He explicitly said, “In that day, you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now, you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask, and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.”

Let us, therefore, pray faithfully and truthfully, seeking God’s will and walking in His ways. Amen.
God gave me a clear command to preach the Good News about the Kingdom of Heaven in seven different areas of Ruhaama County, Ntungamo, Uganda, East Africa. These areas included the seven sub-counties: Itojo, Kahunga, Rwikiniiro, Ruhaama, Nyakyera, Rukoni West, and Rukoni East.
It was the first day of the second-last crusade in Rukoni East, Kihanga. I was driving a Toyota Premio to the crusade venue, accompanied by Allen, Medious, Dismus, Tanasi, and Johnson. Suddenly, the car toppled and landed upside down. The vehicle was severely mangled, and onlookers feared the worst. However, by the grace of God, none of us sustained any injuries!
One by one, we were pulled out of the wreckage, and I, Reuben, was the last to be rescued. It was nothing short of a miracle—the angel of God had shielded us all from harm.
A remarkable detail stood out during this incident. Onlookers and rescuers claimed they saw seven people in the car, though only six of us were physically present. This seventh figure was the angel of God who had protected us from what could have been a fatal accident.
What makes this testimony even more profound is the timing. This miraculous event occurred during a challenging period when the Town Council had demolished our Phase One Sanctuary, claiming it was too large. Astonishingly, the very site of this accident became the location where we later constructed our Phase Two Sanctuary—a testament to God’s divine protection and provision.
This unforgettable experience reminds us of God’s unfailing presence, even in moments of great peril. Indeed, He is our protector and our deliverer, working through His angels to shield His people from harm.
In the beginning, when God created the earth, it was devoid of life and purpose. The deep waters covered its surface, and the Spirit of God moved powerfully over the waters, laying the foundation for His creation.
The significance of water continues throughout Scripture as a symbol of salvation and renewal:
The Days of Noah: When God cleansed the earth with rain for 40 days and nights, the deep waters covered the world. Only eight people—Noah, his wife, his three sons, and their wives—along with pairs of animals and birds aboard the ark, were saved. This event foreshadowed the meaning of deep water baptism as a sign of God’s saving grace and renewal of life.
The Crossing of the Red Sea: Through the leadership of Moses, the Hebrews crossed the Red Sea, leaving behind the captivity of Egypt. This miraculous crossing was a symbolic act of baptism, signifying salvation from bondage and entry into a covenant relationship with God.
The Crossing of the Jordan: Years later, under Joshua’s leadership, the Israelites crossed the Jordan River. This act represented a new generation’s baptism, a sign of deliverance from the perils of the desert and entry into the Promised Land.
The Baptism of Jesus: Jesus himself underwent deep water baptism by John the Baptist in the River Jordan. As He rose from the water, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him, marking the beginning of His ministry. This event highlights the spiritual significance of water baptism as a divine affirmation and empowerment for those who commit to a life of faith.
The True Meaning of Deep Water Baptism
Deep water baptism is the true biblical baptism, symbolizing the start of a journey toward salvation. It is a physical act that reflects a deeper spiritual reality: the cleansing of sins and the public declaration of faith in God’s saving power.
Through baptism, believers follow the example set by Noah, Moses, Joshua, and Jesus. It is a powerful expression of God’s deliverance and the beginning of a transformed life in His service.
Our recent meeting with the Home Cell Leaders was a significant moment of fellowship, vision sharing, and spiritual growth.
Held at the New Jerusalem Church in Kitwe Town Council, Ruhaama, Ntungamo, the gathering brought together almost 100 passionate leaders, each committed to the work of ministry and the spiritual nourishment of their respective home cells.
The meeting was filled with meaningful discussions on how to strengthen the bond between members, foster discipleship, and expand the reach of our mission. It was an opportunity to align our efforts and pray for guidance in building a spiritually empowered community.
The captured photos reflect the unity and dedication of our leaders, who are the backbone of our ministry. The smiles, interactions, and moments of prayer captured in these images are a testament to the collective commitment to serve God and His people.
This meeting was more than just a gathering—it was a time of encouragement and re-commitment to the great commission. Together, we look forward to a fruitful season ahead, with faith leading us every step of the way.
The Children Dedication Day was a beautiful and sacred occasion, filled with joy, prayers, and thanksgiving. Families gathered together at the New Jerusalem Meeting Tent in Kitwe Town Council, Ruhaama, Ntungamo, Uganda, to dedicate their children to the Lord. It was a day of great significance, as parents publicly committed to raising their children in the ways of God, seeking His guidance and blessings over their lives.
The atmosphere was vibrant with love and faith as parents, relatives, and believers from the community united in celebration. Songs of worship filled the air, and the smiles on the faces of the children brought warmth to everyone present. It was a reminder of the scripture, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him” (Psalm 127:3).
The event was not only a spiritual dedication but also a reflection of the importance of community in nurturing the next generation. The captured moments in the photos tell a story of faith, hope, and the shared commitment to guide these children toward fulfilling their God-given purpose.
In 1990, as a young boy, I, Reuben, attended Mbabara Junior Primary School. It was the fourth year of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s presidency in Uganda. During that time, our school hosted a remarkable event—a conference led by more than 10 white evangelists from England. These men and women, part of the Baptist Ministry, delivered teachings about the dip baptism of John as described in the Bible.
When the evangelists invited those who believed in their message to repent, accept Christ Jesus, and be baptized, I felt a stirring in my heart. Without hesitation, I became the first to step forward, publicly declaring my faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Savior. That Monday, along with others, I was taken to River Rwizi in Mbabara to be baptized.
Three days after my baptism, something extraordinary happened. I had a dream—one that would forever alter the course of my life. In this dream, the heavens opened, and an angel of God descended, calling me by name. The angel stood suspended in mid-air, radiating divine presence. But fear overtook me. I thought the angel intended to take me to where he had come from, and I believed I would die and never return. Terrified, I ran.
The angel pursued me relentlessly and eventually caught hold of my right thigh. In that moment, I began to struggle fiercely, fighting to free myself from his grasp. I cried out for my father, Livingstone, to come to my aid. The struggle continued until I suddenly woke from the dream. Yet, even as I returned to consciousness, I felt an inexplicable pain in my thigh—the very spot where the angel had held me.
This was no ordinary dream, for the pain lingered long after I woke. Over the years, I have undergone three surgeries on this very part of my body, where the angel left a mark. To this day, I carry the physical evidence of that divine encounter—a mark that reminds me of God’s calling and presence in my life.
This experience, though mysterious and at times challenging, serves as a constant testament to the reality of God’s power and His purpose for me. It is a story I hold dear, a reminder of His divine hand guiding my journey.
Beloved, the original mandate of human beings from God was clear: to reproduce and multiply. Scripture tells us that God created humans in His own image, male and female, and blessed them, saying, “Have many children. Fill the earth and take control of it” (Genesis 1:28). Children are not only a fulfillment of this mandate but also a blessing, a reward from God.
The Role of Parents Parents bear the responsibility of teaching and nurturing their children. It is important to remember that children are not born as husbands or wives—they must be taught and prepared for these roles.
In the past, parents took active roles in training their sons to be responsible husbands and their daughters to be virtuous wives. The family was the foundation for teaching the laws of marriage and the nature of relationships between men and women. However, today many parents have abandoned this duty. Sons and daughters grow up without proper guidance, entering marriage unprepared. The consequences are evident in marriages that feel more like prisons, filled with conflict, misunderstanding, and despair.
The Shift in Marriage Practices Originally, parents were central to the blessing of marriages. In this generation, however, the responsibility has shifted to religious leaders and governments. Marriage, as practiced in many Christian communities, often follows traditions enacted by the Roman Catholic Church or legal systems, including customs like wedding rings and government-sanctioned ceremonies—elements that are not found in the Bible.
True biblical marriage was meant to be a covenant blessed by parents and rooted in the teachings of God’s Word. The Scriptures remind us of the divine view of children:
“Children are a gift from the LORD, a reward from a mother’s womb. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. The man who fills his quiver with sons will be very blessed. He will never be defeated when he opposes his enemy at the city gates” (Psalm 127:3-5).
The Call to Parents and Society We must return to God’s original design. Parents must reclaim their role in teaching their children not just about marriage but also about faith, integrity, and the fear of the Lord. As the Scriptures urge:
“Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (Deuteronomy 6:7).
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14).
Children are our heritage and a reflection of God’s blessing. Let us take up the divine responsibility of raising them according to His will, so they may grow into godly men and women, prepared for life, marriage, and eternity.
Conclusion As we honor children as blessings from God, let us also renew our commitment to guiding them in truth, teaching them God’s ways, and preparing them for the roles they are destined to fulfill. This is the foundation of strong families, strong communities, and a generation that walks in the favor and purpose of the Lord.
