In the 10th part of his interview series with David Okello, Apostle Reuben Habaasa, the Prophet Messenger of God, shared a powerful teaching about angels, their purpose in God’s plan, and the dangers of worshipping or praying to created beings instead of God.
The interview was conducted in Kitwe Town Council, Ruhama East, Ntungamo District, where David Okello welcomed listeners and invited Apostle Habaasa to share his message.
ANGELS EXISTED BEFORE HUMANITY
Speaking about angels, Apostle Habaasa explained that angels are heavenly creatures created by God and existed before the creation of the earth and human beings.
“Before the earth and human beings existed, angels were already in existence as heavenly creatures,” Apostle Habaasa explained.
He added that angels are real spiritual beings and that, just as there are good and evil people in the world, there are also good angels and fallen angels.
According to Apostle Habaasa, evil angels are known as demons, with Satan being their leader.

APOSTLE HABAASA SHARES HIS ENCOUNTERS WITH ANGELS
During the interview, David Oello asked Apostle Habaasa whether he had ever encountered or seen an angel.
The man of God shared several experiences, explaining that his first encounter happened in 1990 when he was 12 years old.
He further revealed that through spiritual visions, he witnessed thousands upon thousands of angels rejoicing together and later encountered multitudes of angels during a private prayer retreat in Bujumbura, Burundi, in 2010.
According to Apostle Habaasa, during that encounter, angels revealed messages concerning events that would happen on earth and showed him aspects of his destiny and purpose.
He also shared that throughout his life, he has experienced moments where he believes his guardian angel protected him from danger, guided him, and helped him.
“Angels of God have a spiritual significance and they have a great role in fulfilling God’s plan here on earth,” Apostle Habaasa said.
ANGELS SHOULD NOT BE WORSHIPPED OR IDOLIZED
Addressing the issue of people who worship angels, Apostle Habaasa warned believers against idolizing angels.
He explained that although angels are important spiritual beings who serve God’s purposes, they are not meant to receive worship because they are created beings.
“Angels are significant and important in the lives of human beings, but they are not meant to be worshipped or idolized,” he taught.

The man of God emphasized that angels exist to serve God and carry out His will, not to replace God or receive the honor that belongs to Him.
BELIEVERS CANNOT COMMAND ANGELS
Apostle Habaasa also cautioned against teachings that encourage people to command angels to act according to human instructions.
He explained that angels are servants and messengers of God who operate under God’s authority.
“Angels are messengers and servants of God. They carry out His will, not our will,” he said.
According to him, believers should understand the proper relationship between God, human beings, and angels.
PRAYING TO ANGELS IS NOT THE RIGHT APPROACH
During the discussion, Apostle Habaasa addressed people who pray to angels or seek spiritual guidance from angels instead of God.
He warned believers against replacing their relationship with God with a focus on angels.
“While angels can bring messages from God, they are not meant to replace your personal relationship with God, your Creator,” Apostle Habaasa explained.
He encouraged believers to respect angels but remember that even the most powerful angels remain under God’s authority.
A CALL TO WORSHIP GOD ABOVE ALL
Concluding the interview, David Oello thanked Apostle Reuben Habaasa for sharing the teaching and encouraged listeners to reflect on the message.
The interview serves as a reminder for believers to understand the role of angels while keeping their focus on God, the Creator and source of all things.
Listeners were encouraged to share the message:
