Testimony: The Encounter That Marked My Life

In 1990, as a young boy, I, Reuben, attended Mbabara Junior Primary School. It was the fourth year of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s presidency in Uganda. During that time, our school hosted a remarkable event—a conference led by more than 10 white evangelists from England. These men and women, part of the Baptist Ministry, delivered teachings about the dip baptism of John as described in the Bible.

When the evangelists invited those who believed in their message to repent, accept Christ Jesus, and be baptized, I felt a stirring in my heart. Without hesitation, I became the first to step forward, publicly declaring my faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Savior. That Monday, along with others, I was taken to River Rwizi in Mbabara to be baptized.

Three days after my baptism, something extraordinary happened. I had a dream—one that would forever alter the course of my life. In this dream, the heavens opened, and an angel of God descended, calling me by name. The angel stood suspended in mid-air, radiating divine presence. But fear overtook me. I thought the angel intended to take me to where he had come from, and I believed I would die and never return. Terrified, I ran.

The angel pursued me relentlessly and eventually caught hold of my right thigh. In that moment, I began to struggle fiercely, fighting to free myself from his grasp. I cried out for my father, Livingstone, to come to my aid. The struggle continued until I suddenly woke from the dream. Yet, even as I returned to consciousness, I felt an inexplicable pain in my thigh—the very spot where the angel had held me.

This was no ordinary dream, for the pain lingered long after I woke. Over the years, I have undergone three surgeries on this very part of my body, where the angel left a mark. To this day, I carry the physical evidence of that divine encounter—a mark that reminds me of God’s calling and presence in my life.

This experience, though mysterious and at times challenging, serves as a constant testament to the reality of God’s power and His purpose for me. It is a story I hold dear, a reminder of His divine hand guiding my journey.

  1. A similar encounter happened with Jacob [in the Old Testament], in which his name became Israel.

This is the LORD’S Glory! The scriptures say a name was written on his robe and on his thigh: “KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS”.

  2. April 29 – The Wind of Completion
Today, the Spirit of the Lord declares The Wind of Completion. This is the day where God brings to fulfillment what He has been doing throughout this entire season. What began as a seed is now coming into full manifestation. The processes, the stretching, the alignment, and the movement you have experienced are now reaching their divine conclusion. The Lord is finishing what He started.
This wind is closing cycles and sealing results. Every unfinished assignment, every delayed promise, and every incomplete process is being brought into completion by the hand of God. There will be no carryover of struggle into the next season. What belongs to this month must be completed in this month. The Lord is releasing grace to finish strong, to establish fully, and to enter the next phase with evidence of His work in your life.
As this wind blows, expect clarity, confirmation, and fulfillment. You will begin to see the full picture of what God has been doing. Things that once seemed scattered will now come together. Answers will be released, results will appear, and testimonies will be evident. This is the moment where your faith is rewarded and your endurance produces visible fruit.
This day also marks a transition. Completion is not the end—it is the gateway to a new beginning. What God completes today becomes the foundation for what He will build next. You are not ending in weakness; you are ending in strength, in victory, and in manifestation. The Lord is establishing you so that your next season begins from a higher level.
As you approach the end of this month and the Wind of Change gathering, prepare your heart with thanksgiving. Recognize what God has done, honor His hand, and position yourself to testify. This is not just a personal completion—it is a corporate manifestation of God’s faithfulness.
Stand firm today and declare that it is finished. The Wind of Completion is upon you, and everything that God ordained for this season is coming to pass.
From Apostle Reuben Habaasa, the prophet messenger of the Most High God in this generation and vision bearer of the Wind of Change mandate.
